The Island of Bornholm

Hasle is a town with narrow streets. Right outside the hotel, there is space for about 6 cars. Additionally, you can find parking around the hotel and in the harbor area just below the hotel. Other parts of the town offer time-limited parking spaces.

If you arrive by car, we recommend unloading your luggage at the hotel and then finding a parking spot nearby.

For electric cars, charging stations are available at the square about 100 meters from the hotel.

You can access your room at HOTEL KYSTEN from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, please check out by 11:00 AM.

Payment is made at check-in and can be done using a credit card.

There are plenty of swimming opportunities from this Island of Bornholm hotel. It’s only 200 meters to Hasle Town Beach, 300 meters to Hasle’s Harbor Bath, and a 15-minute walk to the long white Southern Beach.

Remember to bring your own beach towel, as the hotel’s towels should remain in the room.

We encourage you to place the small “Do not disturb” sign (found on the inside of the room door) on the outside of the door. This way, we know not to clean your room first when we service rooms daily between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Room rates at HOTEL KYSTEN include breakfast with freshly baked bread, coffee or tea, and local specialties. You can enjoy this great start to the day between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM in the restaurant or on the terrace with a panoramic view over the Baltic Sea.

Here at the hotel, we strive to create a relaxing environment that invites you to enjoy coziness, togetherness, and immersion. Therefore, you will not find a TV in the room but instead in the TV lounge.

HOTEL KYSTEN is a charming old hotel with high steps leading to the entrance, stairs up to the rooms, and a multi-level terrace facing the sea. Therefore, we note that this Bornholm hotel may be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Extra beds are available at the hotel in the apartments and suite for 400 DKK per bed per night.

A baby cot can be ordered in advance at booking@hotelkysten.dk for 400 DKK per stay.

Hotel Kysten generally does not permit pets.

However, in special cases, you may bring your small, calm, allergy-friendly dog to one of the hotel’s apartments. This always requires written pre-approval. Please send your request to booking@hotelkysten.dk.

Smoking is not allowed inside the hotel or on balconies. Guests may smoke on the terrace.

Overnight guest are welcome to relax on HOTEL KYSTEN’s terrace, which is private for hotel guests and paying visitors from outside.

Please note that only food and drinks purchased at the hotel are allowed to be enjoyed on the terrace.

By Car (Remember Your Passport!):
Drive over the Øresund Bridge and continue on the E65 through Sweden to Ystad. The fast ferry from Ystad takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. Alternatively, take the ferry from Køge at 00:30, arriving in Rønne at 6:00 AM. Cabins are available for booking.

By Bus (Remember Your Passport!):
Kombardo Express buses run from Copenhagen to the ferry terminal in Ystad. Some buses board the ferry, while others require passengers to board the ferry themselves.

By Train (Remember Your Passport!):
Trains from Copenhagen Central Station to Ystad include a simple transfer at Malmö Hyllie.

By Plane:
Flights to Bornholm are operated by DAT from Copenhagen Airport, Billund, and Aalborg. Buses and rental cars are available at the airport.

By Bicycle:
Follow the cycling path to Hasle, which goes through the forest and then along Nyker Strandvej.

By Foot:
